You can start planting just about everything, with the exception of some summer crops (more details on this later his week).
🍅 You can start tomato and pepper seeds indoors, to be transplanted out when the weather warms up. These will be harvested in June/July.
🥕 You can direct sow radish, carrot, and beets seeds. And don’t forget the greens! Kale, lettuce, chard, and more can be planted directly in the ground right now! Many of these crops will take around 45 days to be harvest-ready, 1-2 months depending on the crop.
😎 Fun fact: These direct sow seeds mature much faster in the warmer months, and can mature in 21-30 days instead of 45+. Why not plant some now, and some in spring and summer, to make your bounty last all of the growing season?
🥔 Seed potatoes can also be planted now!
